How You’ll Make An Impact
- Perform on-site and remote service activities including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and replacements
- Support customer operations by addressing technical issues and anticipating service needs
- Read and work from electrical and mechanical drawings, instructions, and technical manuals
- Complete internal transformer work such as bushing connections, lead clearance, tapping, crimping, taping, and contoured joints
- Repair, re-gasket, assemble, and disassemble transformer equipment as directed
- Operate and maintain vacuum oil processing and oil handling equipment with direction, including completing required logs
- Coordinate logistics for service jobs, including tools, resources, and spare parts
- Contribute ideas for product and process improvements that enhance operations and customer service
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Associate Degree with 2 years of professional work experience or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of professional work experience
- Broad knowledge of transformer field service operations and transformer field testing
- Familiarity with transformer installation and assembly, vacuum and oil processing, and internal transformer components
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up to 85%
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders
