Job Overview
Hi-Sun Bearings is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Inventory Clerk to join our team in Puyallup, Washington.
This position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day shipping and receiving of industrial bearings and related products, maintaining accurate inventory records, and keeping the warehouse organized and operating efficiently.
The position also involves receiving occasional incoming customer phone calls. Phone activity is generally low volume.
Main Responsibilities
Shipping
- Prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Pick, pack, label, and ship products accurately and efficiently.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and shipping information before orders leave the facility.
- Prepare shipping documents and enter shipment information into the company system.
- Coordinate shipments with common carriers and freight companies.
- Track shipments and assist with resolving shipping issues when necessary.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
Receiving
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for quantity and obvious damage.
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential shortages or issues.
- Verify pricing, part numbers, quantities, and shipping information.
Customer Phone Support
- Answer occasional incoming calls.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/order-entry software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or order-entry experience is preferred but not required.
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
