The Associate Experience Technology Team is a fast-paced and passionate team that is responsible for improving the Associate Experience across Capital One by creating enterprise solutions that are simple, secure and seamless. We design and deliver software solutions across a diverse technology landscape that consists of enterprise SaaS applications, OS Platforms, Web and Mobile applications and custom built enterprise solutions.
As a Director, Enterprise Architecture, you will lead a horizontal team that partners alongside product engineering teams to build and deliver innovative solutions at an enterprise scale. Serving as a technical voice, you will be responsible for providing architectural guidance to our Engineering, Product, Data, and Design teams as they plan and build out new products. You will also be involved in continuously helping to improve our existing suite of products to ensure security, performance, maintainability, and usability are best-in-class.

Responsibilities
- Establish architecture and security strategic direction for our product landscape, including standards and frameworks that are aligned with overall business strategy
- Collaborate with architecture, product owners, and software engineers to drive implementation of new applications and features.
- Assess emerging technologies to determine where they fill gaps, overlap with existing solutions or extend capabilities.
- Contribute to the evolution of the architecture practice aligned with security and technology organization strategy and objectives
- Review existing and proposed architectures, identify security design gaps, and recommend changes or enhancements
- Participate in solution architecture design; lead architecture and efforts assisting with the integration and initial implementation of solutions
- Leverage complex technical and security challenges to drive innovation
- Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead talent to be their best
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 7 years of experience in solution architecture
- At least 5 years of people management experience
- At least 5 years experience in securing public cloud environments and services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years experience in macOS, Windows and mobile device management technologies
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification
- 5 years of experience with complex architectural patterns (SOA), building APIs, microservices, and event streams
