The Hirshfield's Duluth, MN Location (formerly known as Diamond Vogel Paint) is now looking to fill aFullTime Sales Position for our Paint Department. Hours are mostly afternoons and some Saturdays.

The Hirshfield's Duluth location is mostly wholesale customers

Hours are flexible between Monday thru Friday: 7:00am to 5:00 pm -- Some Saturday 8:00am - Noon

Essential Functions

• Able to see color
• Able to lift/move up to 60lbs on occasion
• Support the sales efforts at Hirshfield's Paint Store, servicing mostly wholesale customers
• Ensuring that all sales orders are completely accurate by maintaining precise accounts for formula and pricing, pulling correct products from warehouse, tinting and mixing those to customers specifications
• Explaining to customers the best products for their needs
• Recommending related products to increase customers’ options and enrich the shopping experience
• Explaining the benefits and functions of products, method of preparation and how to use them to achieve the best results
• Accepting and processing orders, operate the POS register and resolve returns issues
• Promoting special sales, offers and awareness of store loyalty program

Your hourly rate of pay will be based on your experience

Qualifications
- Strong background in retail sales and customer service
- Proficiency in basic math and retail math
- Experience with cash handling and cash register operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a grocery store setting is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency and supervising experience are advantageous

- You must be able to work in a high pace environment and able to multitask.

- You must be a self starter and able to learn quickly.

- You must be able to perform basic math functions, including fraction, weight, multiplications, divisions and adding and subtracting.

- This position requires an eye for details as this position will be heavily involved and stain and color matching for our wholesale customers.
