Role Objective
As an Abrasive Blasting Technician, your role involves meticulous surface preparation using specialized blasting equipment to eliminate contaminants such as paint, rust, and dirt. Ensuring product accuracy in specifications is a key responsibility.
What You'll Do:
- Operate machinery to blast surfaces with abrasive materials, achieving desired finishes.
- Charge blasters with specified abrasives like sand, grit, or shot.
- Ensure precision by masking surfaces not meant for treatment.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, stripping, or other restorative processes.
- Inspect final products for compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain blasting equipment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Conduct minor maintenance on machinery when needed.
