Job Summary
The Appetizer Chef plays a key role in the preparation of our side dishes, assisting with kitchen prep, and supporting the lead ramen chef as needed. This position requires a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a professional kitchen is preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently prepare all side dishes and appetizers to the highest standards.
- Assist in prepping produce, poultry, and seafood.
- Operate kitchen equipment including flat-top grill and deep fryer.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow opening and closing procedures and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Ensure all side dishes are prepared accurately and promptly to meet customer demand.
- Support the lead ramen cook and assist with tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Food Handler’s Card.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work weekdays/nights and some weekends.
Wage & Benefits
- Starting wage: $19.00/hr (with potential for a raise following a 30-day performance review).
