Your Responsibilities as a Delivery Driver:
- Safely drive a box truck weighing under 26,000 pounds (CDL not necessary)
- Follow daily routes for picking up, driving, delivering, and unloading
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering products, accepting payments, and addressing customer concerns
- Conduct Pre & Post Trip Inspections to monitor maintenance needs
- Ensure safe operations and maintain a clean vehicle in line with company policies
- Collaborate with shipping and receiving staff to guarantee timely deliveries, including order pulling and product storage
- Perform additional tasks as required
Your Qualifications as a Delivery Driver:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a medical examination from the state Department of Transportation
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in distribution or supply chain preferred
- Basic computer skills; data entry experience is a plus
- Dedication to exceeding customer service expectations
- Commitment to performing duties safely
- Ability to adhere to store policies and procedures consistently
- Capability to read and follow instructions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Frequent lifting of items over 50 pounds from ground to chest height
- Regular squatting, bending, and twisting
- Extended periods of sitting and driving
- Ability to read tickets and complete assigned tasks
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures
- Visual acuity for near, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
- Ability to hear alarms, horns, and equipment sounds
- Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves
