THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to secure and grow partnerships with local government agencies. You will manage a portfolio of municipal customers—cities, counties, and special districts—driving new revenue, renewals, and expanded platform adoption. As a trusted advisor, you will help agency leaders maximize the platform’s value to improve operations and community engagement.
This is a fully remote role.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage and grow a portfolio of local government accounts, ensuring effective platform usage and strong outcomes
- Drive ARR by securing new municipal partnerships and expanding licenses within existing agencies
- Serve as a trusted advisor to agency stakeholders, connecting them with internal teams for support and resources
- Strengthen relationships with agencies to uncover new opportunities and champion wider adoption
- Convert occasional users into platform advocates across departments and neighboring jurisdictions
- Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, and Support to ensure agency success
- Represent the company at webinars, conferences, and presales meetings as a subject-matter expert in local government engagement
- Gather agency feedback to influence product improvements and support revenue growth
- Guide agency leaders on strategies to fully leverage the platform and achieve their goals
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Proven experience (5 years) in SaaS sales or business development selling into local government
- Strong understanding of municipal structures, priorities, and procurement
- Excellent relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience presenting to government audiences, including webinars and conferences
- A proactive, flexible, and results-driven approach
- Strong communication and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to drive product adoption and expand usage within government accounts
- Passion for improving local government and community engagement
