Senior Consultant, Marketing Technology
Our client, a growing technology consulting firm is expanding its service offerings and launching a new Marketing Technology practice to better support clients across demand generation, customer engagement, and lifecycle marketing.
The Senior Consultant, Marketing Technology will play a key role in establishing and scaling this practice. Reporting to the VP of Delivery, this position is ideal for a seasoned consultant who can lead end-to-end client delivery while helping define foundational processes, methodologies, and future team structure. The role blends hands-on execution with strategic leadership, offering a clear path to expanded delivery ownership and people leadership as the practice grows.
Core Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Solution Leadership

Lead end-to-end delivery for mid-sized or multi-phased client initiatives leveraging leading marketing technology platforms

Own delivery outcomes, including scope, timeline, quality, and client satisfaction

Partner with clients to understand marketing, demand generation, and customer engagement objectives and translate them into scalable technical solutions

Facilitate discovery sessions and stakeholder workshops; document requirements, user stories, and future-state process designs

Design, configure, and optimize marketing automation platforms and supporting tools (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar)

Ensure seamless integration between Salesforce and third-party marketing tools, with a focus on data integrity and long-term scalability

Uphold delivery excellence through testing, validation, documentation, and enablement
Project & Stakeholder Management

Manage delivery across multiple contributors, delegating effectively while maintaining accountability for outcomes

Develop and maintain delivery plans, forecasts, and milestones; adapt plans as client priorities evolve

Accurately estimate effort and forecast capacity on a week-by-week basis

Facilitate alignment across cross-functional stakeholder groups, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies

Lead regular client check-ins and executive-level discussions to ensure alignment with strategic goals
Practice & Team Development

Contribute to defining scalable delivery methodologies, best practices, and quality standards for the Marketing Technology practice

Support hiring, onboarding, and development of future marketing technology team members

Provide thought leadership on marketing automation strategy, data architecture, analytics, and performance measurement

Partner with leadership on solution design, scoping, and pre-sales activities as needed
Qualifications

5 years of experience in a SaaS environment or consulting role within Salesforce and/or marketing technology ecosystems

Hands-on experience with one or more marketing automation or customer engagement platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, or similar)

Strong understanding of marketing technology architecture, data models, and industry best practices

Proven experience leading complex client initiatives involving multiple contributors and stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on delivery with delegation and team oversight

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Experience

Experience launching or scaling a consulting practice, service offering, or internal capability

Exposure to multiple Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing)

Experience with integrations, data migrations, analytics, and reporting

Familiarity with enterprise integration tools or AppExchange applications

Previous experience in a delivery lead, team lead, or people management role
