Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Project Manager with strong Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Workday integration expertise to lead strategic HR initiatives and drive successful HR project execution across complex enterprise environments.
This role requires a blend of HR Business Partner knowledge and advanced project management capabilities to support organizational integrations, HR transformation initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing HR-related projects, leading stakeholders, coordinating interdependent workstreams, and ensuring timely project delivery within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end HR project management activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations
- Manage HR integration workstreams including Workday HCM implementation/integration activities
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies using Smartsheet or other PM tools
- Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners, Finance, Operations, IT, and leadership teams
- Facilitate project meetings, lead status calls, and provide executive-level progress updates
- Identify project risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies while driving timely resolutions
- Develop RACI matrices, scorecards, dashboards, and reporting tools to track project effectiveness
- Support change management initiatives and drive adoption of HR transformation strategies
- Analyze HR and business data to provide recommendations and project insights
- Create position statements, pros/cons analyses, and strategic recommendations for leadership decision-making
- Ensure process standardization, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency across HR initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between project teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while managing sensitive HR and business information
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
- 10 years of HR Project Management experience
- Strong M&A integration project management background
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM integrations and HR systems
- Extensive knowledge of HR functions and HR operational processes
- Expert-level experience with Smartsheet or similar project management tools
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience leading executive-level discussions
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Experience working in matrixed corporate environments
Preferred Qualifications
- HR Business Partner (HRBP) experience
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certification
- Experience working with large enterprise organizations
- Prior experience with *** Corporation preferred
