Role: Brand Merchandising Analyst – Retail Planning & Merchandising
Location: Portland, OR (PHK) – Onsite
Duration: 4 Months Contract
We are seeking a Brand Merchandising Analyst to join a dynamic Equipment & Accessories merchandising team supporting North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a merchandising professional who enjoys turning retail data into business insights and helping drive assortment and purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze retail and merchandising data to support purchasing and assortment decisions.
- Work with merchandising teams to optimize inventory, seasonal buys, and product performance.
- Utilize Excel and large datasets to identify trends and business opportunities.
- Monitor retail KPIs including stock-to-sales ratios, seasonal returns, inventory performance, and other merchandising metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support merchandising strategies and business growth.
- Provide insights based on consumer behavior, retail trends, and marketplace performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Merchandise Operations, Fashion, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or merchandise planning.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of retail math, including:
- Stock-to-Sales
- Seasonal Returns
- Inventory Planning
- Retail KPIs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within retail, consumer products, footwear, apparel, or sporting goods.
- Passion for sports, athletes, and consumer trends.
- Interest in fashion and retail industry trends.
- Ability to identify opportunities to grow a business through consumer insights.
- Experience using merchandising planning tools such as Just Enough is a plus.
