What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Consultant position at HIRESIGMA?
What you will be doing:
- Communicate with clients to gather documentation needed to prepare tax returns.
- Assist with tax planning and projections.
- Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Communicate with partners regarding open items or other important matters in a timely manner.
- Complete tax research, reconciliations, or other special projects.
- Prepare client correspondence or other communications pertaining to tax notices.
- Track time and out-of-scope billings; prepare client invoices.
- Work efficiently with electronic documents using designated computer applications.
- Attend continuing professional education seminars.
- Maintain confidentiality with client information.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience you will need:
- 2 years of recent tax experience in partnership and individual tax preparation and planning with a public accounting firm.
- Detail-oriented, highly accurate and able to meet deadlines.
- Experience with Lacerte is a plus.
