Job Description
- Specify, select, procure, commission, and maintain mechanical equipment to meet both operational and project needs.
- Ensure designs for pressure vessels and piping meet ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and ASME B31.3 standards.
- Work closely with process, electrical, and controls engineers to design, install, and commission equipment and mechanical systems.
- Act as the subject matter expert for rotating equipment—supporting troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability improvements.
- Contribute to scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and full project execution from concept through startup.
Skills Required
- 4–8 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environments.
- Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 and ASME B31.3.
- Solid experience with rotating equipment and industrial mechanical systems.
- Proven mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting ability.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Experience in sustainability-related industries such as biogas, renewable energy, or waste treatment.
- Familiarity with commercial agreements and customer interactions (preferred).
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Additional Requirements
- Experience with centrifugal blowers, oil-flooded screw compressors, or industrial mixers (preferred).
- Background in project engineering or project management, including cost and schedule control (preferred).
- Familiarity with gas processing, oil & gas, or chemical production environments (preferred).
- Military technical training is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial gases and pipeline safety is an advantage.
