Staff Accountant
Our company is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll tax reconciliation and filing processes to meet statutory Federal, State, and Local deadlines.
Support the Accounting Department through the management of payroll and other tax notices and audit requests.
Research regulatory law changes and ensure compliance.
Participate in a variety of ad-hoc reports, special projects, process improvements and analysis as necessary.
Communicate with agencies and internal personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs.
Assist in performing monthly month end close out process.
Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
Follow our company’s established accounting processes.
Other projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
2-4 years of experience in accounting or related field
Very strong Excel skills
Great Plains experience preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
