Position Summary
The Director of Strategic Initiatives / Value Creation is a newly created, high-visibility role designed to support the next phase of the company’s growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will play a pivotal role in both inorganic and organic value creation—leading acquisition integration efforts while also driving enterprise-wide strategic and operational initiatives.
Initially, the role will focus heavily on M&A execution and post-merger integration (PMI), ensuring that newly acquired businesses are stabilized and aligned within the operating model during the first 3–6 months post-close. Over time, the scope expands to lead broader cross-functional initiatives tied to performance improvement, scalability, and operating discipline.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Execution & Post-Merger Integration
- Partner closely with the CEO, executive team, and PE sponsor on active acquisition activities.
- Lead integration planning and Day 1 readiness across operations, finance, commercial, HR, and systems.
- Manage PMI efforts for each acquisition for approximately six months post-close, ensuring business continuity, synergy capture, and cultural alignment.
- Track and report integration milestones, risks, and value realization tied to the deal thesis.
Value Creation & Strategic Initiatives
- Identify, prioritize, and execute strategic and operational initiatives that drive revenue growth, EBITDA expansion, and scalable performance.
- Build and institutionalize repeatable frameworks, dashboards, and operating rhythms to strengthen decision-making and accountability.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects across manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, and corporate functions.
- Support senior leadership in translating strategic priorities into actionable workplans and ensuring consistent follow-through.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Develop clear, data-driven updates for executive and board-level discussions.
- Work directly with functional leaders to diagnose challenges, align on solutions, and drive execution across sites and teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 8–12 years of experience across management consulting (MBB or equivalent), private equity value creation, investment banking, corporate development, or similar high-analytical environments.
- Hands-on exposure to manufacturing—either through direct industry experience or significant on-site operational project work.
- Demonstrated integration and transformation leadership, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead cross-functional teams under tight timelines.
- Strong commercial and operational orientation, comfortable shifting between strategic thinking and practical execution.
- Experience in PE-backed organizations, particularly in buy-and-build or roll-up environments, strongly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with an executive-ready presence.
