Position Overview
The Director of Maintenance, Facilities, and EHS is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of all production equipment, buildings, utilities, and environmental systems. This role leads maintenance and environmental, health, and safety programs to support operational uptime, efficiency, and a strong safety culture.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance, facilities, and EHS teams to ensure operational excellence and employee engagement.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment and systems to maximize uptime and reliability.
- Manage facility infrastructure, utilities, and capital improvement projects from planning through execution.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain environmental permits, records, and reporting requirements to meet regulatory and corporate standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety performance, sustainability, and equipment reliability.
- Administer maintenance and EHS budgets while managing vendor relationships and service contracts effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
- 7 years of progressive experience in maintenance, facilities, or EHS management within a manufacturing setting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and compliance practices.
- Proven experience overseeing environmental permitting, audits, and safety management systems.
- Proficient in CMMS, EHS software, and project management methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
