This position is with a national specialty physician group and will play a key role in advancing the organization’s growth strategy through acquisitions, JVs, and strategic partnerships. The Director of Corporate Development will manage the full lifecycle of transactions — from pitching and evaluation to due diligence, and deal execution — in close partnership with physician leadership, executive management, and the company’s financial sponsor. This individual will be deeply involved in building models, developing investment memos, managing third-party relationships, and executing joint venture opportunities. The role requires strong analytical, relationship-building, and project management skills, along with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in investing and corporate development roles, preferably with direct physician engagement.

- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of acquisition and partnership opportunities in collaboration with the company’s physician leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, advisors, and physician practice owners to identify and pursue potential transactions.
- Partner with physician dyad leaders to ensure effective communication and alignment with potential sellers throughout the process.
- Lead or support detailed financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting for prospective acquisitions.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda, business cases, and financial analyses to executive and physician leadership.
- Travel as needed to target practices to present pitch materials and represent the organization to physician leaders.
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional due diligence across finance, legal, operations, and clinical teams.
- Support transaction structuring, negotiation, and closing activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Partner with operations and finance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and integration of newly acquired practices.
- Monitor post-acquisition performance, identifying opportunities to optimize results and enhance integration processes.
- Collaborate with FP&A and deal teams to refine assumptions, analyze key performance metrics, and support strategic growth initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
- 5–7 years of experience in M&A, private equity, investment banking, or corporate development.
- Direct experience in healthcare services, ideally within physician practice or multi-site operational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and execute deals from sourcing through closing.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to sourcing and underwriting new investment opportunities.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across executive, physician, and external stakeholder groups.
