Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development
The Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development will lead the company’s people strategy and HR operations while helping build a stronger, more accountable, and more effective organization. This hands-on leadership role partners with ownership, senior leaders, managers, and employees to support growth, improve leadership capability, strengthen culture, and ensure HR practices are fair, consistent, compliant, and aligned with business goals.
This is a full time opportunity that requires working onsite in Raleigh, NC. No sponsorship or third party arrangements are possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all core HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, policies, HR systems, and employee records.
- Partner with ownership and leadership to improve organizational effectiveness, management capability, accountability, and communication across departments.
- Develop and manage performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, coaching, feedback, documentation, and performance improvement plans.
- Build leadership capability through coaching, leadership development, succession planning, and support for internal promotion and career development.
- Strengthen employee engagement and company culture by reinforcing values, supporting change management, and promoting a safe, respectful, and performance-driven workplace.
- Support workforce planning and recruiting strategies to attract, retain, and develop high-performing employees and leaders.
- Serve as a trusted business partner to Operations, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Quality, IT, and other functional leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, build leadership capability, and support business growth through practical people strategies.
- Strong business judgment, communication skills, credibility, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
