Project Manager – Federal Construction
Location: Quantico, VA (on-site, with local travel to job sites)
We are partnered with a federal contractor to hire a Project Manager to lead high-volume, quick-turnaround federal construction projects in the Quantico, VA area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on project management experience and an understanding of federal contracting. This role focuses on delivering quality results, driving growth, and building strong client relationships across multiple agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and budget control
- Develop accurate estimates using RS Means or similar software and lead project negotiations
- Collaborate with government clients to define project scope and align deliverables
- Support strategic growth by identifying new opportunities and increasing project volume
- Maintain operational oversight across active job sites, ensuring high performance and client satisfaction
- Conduct regular site visits, assess project progress, and proactively resolve issues
- Strengthen subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure project readiness and execution
- Work closely with internal teams to manage contracts, documentation, and compliance
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and field experience considered
- 4 years of experience managing federal construction projects (e.g., DoD, USACE, GSA, VA, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Experience with RS Means, e4Clicks, or other estimating platforms
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Ability to oversee subcontractors and navigate safety and compliance standards
- Must be based within commuting distance to the Quantico, VA area and able to travel locally as needed

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
