Budget Director
Our client in North Miami looking for a dynamic Budget Director to lead the organization’s budgeting and financial planning functions. This role is critical in ensuring fiscal responsibility, supporting strategic initiatives, and providing leadership in budget development, financial analysis, and long-term planning.
As the Budget Director, you will work closely with executive leadership and department heads to oversee the annual budget process, manage financial forecasts, and provide insights that guide decision-making. You’ll also supervise a team of finance professionals and play a visible role presenting budgetary matters to leadership and stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the preparation and administration of the annual operating and capital budgets.
- Provide expert financial guidance to departments and leadership.
- Analyze and evaluate budget requests, forecasts, and expenditures.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
- Oversee financial research, projections, and compliance with reporting standards.
- Supervise and develop a team of finance professionals.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public/Business Administration, or related field with 5 years of professional experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public/Business Administration, or related field with 7 years of professional experience.
- Strong background in budget development, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead a team and manage complex financial processes.
- Preferred: CPA, CGFM, CMA, government finance or grants management experience, ERP knowledge.
Salary : $120,000 - $175,000
