Job Overview
IBG Industrial Batteries is looking for a driven, results-focused Outside Sales Representative to own a defined territory and build new business with forklift dealerships.
This is a true hunter role. You’ll be responsible for getting in front of dealership owners and branch managers, winning initial stocking orders, and growing those accounts through repeat business.
💰 What You Can Earn
- $3,000/month recoverable draw for the first 120 days
- $1,500 commission per qualifying order
- Uncapped commission
- Recurring commissions on reorders
- Realistic Year 1 earning potential: $85K–$130K
- Mileage, tolls, parking, overnight travel and approved customer meals covered
🎯 Your Mission
- Own your assigned territory and target approximately 25 dealer branches
- Prospect through in-person visits, cold calling and field outreach
- Build relationships with owners, principals and branch managers
- Close initial stocking orders
- Train dealer sales teams and help drive product sell-through
- Develop repeat business and generate ongoing reorders
- Consistently hit territory and sales targets
🔥 We’re Looking For
- 1–4 years of commission-heavy, self-generated sales experience
- Proven record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
- Comfortable walking into businesses and creating opportunities from scratch
- Resilient and able to push through periods without immediate sales
- Strong communication, negotiation and closing skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel 2–4 overnight trips per month
Great backgrounds include: Industrial distribution, equipment rental, uniform/facility services, packaging, janitorial, solar, pest control, security, copiers, staffing, merchant services, telecom, auto sales, insurance and similar hunter-style sales.
⚡ No Industry Experience Required
You do not need battery, forklift, material-handling, technical or engineering experience. We will provide 2 days of product training, followed by CEO ride-alongs during your first week or two.

This is not an inbound-lead or desk sales position. There are no inbound leads, no SDR, and no discount authority. You own the territory, create the opportunities and get paid for results.
📍 Territory-Based Field Role
West Coast territories: Los Angeles/Inland Empire, Bay Area, and Seattle/Tacoma.
