What We Do
Utility Products
Continental manufactures a range of utility-approved products for the Detroit Edison service area across Michigan and parts of Ohio. Our offerings include metering equipment, service entrance switchboards, tap boxes, short-run busway systems, and supporting accessories for commercial and utility applications.
Panelboards
Lighting & Power Panelboards ship quickly and are custom configured to suit your requirements. We choose to use high quality bolt-on components in these assemblies instead of the plug-in designs. We ship completed Panelboards instead of multiple shipments of loose items like other brands. We support our Panelboards with significant warehouse stock.
Busway Systems & Bus Plugs
Our Plug-in, Feeder, and Short Run Busway Systems are available in short lead times for a variety of commercial & industrial applications. Our redesigned Circuit Breaker Bus Plugs are available through 600a and also compatible with much of the discontinued Legacy Siemens/ITE/BD Style Bus Duct still in service. Short Run busway can be custom configured to meet a variety of project needs including utility or transformer connections.

We design our Metal Enclosed Loadbreak Interrupter Switchgear to last for decades to provide reliable, safe service. Continental is utility approved by the Detroit Edison Co. for their service area.
Switchboards
Continental switchboards are configured to suit your application and are commonly installed in commercial and industrial facilities to safely control the distribution of electrical power in the facility. Our service entrance switchboards have been approved by various utilities for their customers.
