What you'll be doing
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce parts to print specifications.
- Create and edit CNC programs using Fusion 360, and make adjustments at the machine as needed.
- Select and install tooling and workholding, establish offsets, and prove out setups.
- Read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Inspect first-piece and in-process parts using appropriate measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust tooling, offsets, and cutting parameters to maintain part quality.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Machines, controls and software
Haas ST30Y, Haas SL10, and Haas HL2 CNC lathes. Programming is done in Fusion 360.
What we're looking forRequired
- Experience independently programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes.
- Ability to read prints and machine parts to specified tolerances.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Must have your own tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot machining problems.
Preferred
- Experience with Haas CNC lathes and controls.
- Fusion 360 programming experience.
