Experienced CNC Machinist

Job Summary

An established manufacturer is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to operate and set up a variety of CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components. Ideal candidates are motivated, team-oriented, and detail-focused professionals ready to contribute to a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operation of CNC controls (download programs, make offset adjustments).  Operate independently on production runs.

• Solid 5-axis understanding & set up

• Perform part layouts and basic inspection (can use the following gages: bore, ring, thread, go/no-go)

• Comfortable running horizontal mills, vertical mills, VTL’s (primarily horizontal mills, 5-axis)

• Comfortable running Fanuc controlled CNC’s

• Comfortable holding tolerances down to .0001

• Working knowledge of G-code

Qualifications

• 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing setting (or equivalent formal training, apprenticeship, or vocational education)

• Familiarity with hand tools, gauges, micrometers, and blueprint interpretation (training provided as needed)

• Working knowledge of shop math and machining technology

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Dependable, punctual, and open to working overtime when required

• Positive, team-oriented attitude

Education Required

• High school diploma or vocational school graduate
