Role Overview
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating, refining, and developing comprehensive technical and construction drawings for high-quality residential building projects. Working alongside architects, engineers, and project managers, you will ensure every design element from custom cabinetry to structural specifications is functional, inspiring, and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Drafting: Create detailed technical drawings, construction blueprints, and comprehensive residential plans.
- Software Expertise: Utilize Chief Architect software to produce high-quality, accurate designs including custom cabinet elements and detailed residential layouts.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to local building codes, structural material requirements, and advanced construction techniques.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous project records and manage system operation updates throughout all phases of construction.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal project teams to support budget-variance management and ensure on-time project milestone delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Minimum associate’s degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4 years of professional experience strictly within Residential Construction.
- Technical Skills: Exceptional understanding of architectural drawings, building codes, materials, and residential layouts.
- Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with CAD software; proficiency in Chief Architect is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies: Supreme attention to detail, independent troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to manage custom cabinet design components.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
