Our client is looking for a knowledgeable food safety and nutrition-focused full time Preschool Cook to support all aspects of daily food preparation at their premier preschool in Eagan, MN.
- This is a Direct Hire position with the school
- Full-time shift, Monday - Friday; year-round employment
Salary
$16.55 -$20.45/hour pending education, credentials, and professional cook/chef/food-handler experience

Job Responsibilities
- Cooking prepared foods and meals to temperature
- Serving the appropriate amount of food to each classroom per State regulations
- Adherence to children’s dietary preferences and food allergies
- Maintain kitchen, including surfaces, equipment, and cooking tools, to ensure a safe and sanitary food preparation environment
- Cleaning up after food service, including washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping/mopping floors, and putting away kitchen items in their proper place
- Preparing daily snacks
- Willingness to pick up and/or shop for food if delivery is not available (mileage will be reimbursed)
- Maintain daily food service reports
Qualifications
- REQUIRED Age: must be at least 18 years of age
- REQUIRED Education: HS Diploma
- PREFERRED Certification: valid SERV Safe certification preferred
- PREFERRED Experience: at least 6 months of food-handler experience in a childcare facility or school setting preferred
- Must be able to lift ~30 pounds
- Must meet background check eligibility
