Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Category Management Analyst to identify product gaps, analyze customer demand, and support smarter assortment decisions. This is a customer‑facing, data‑driven role focused on uncovering new SKU and category opportunities using market research, analytics, and emerging AI tools. Hybrid flexibility available after onboarding.
Compensation: $65K–$90K depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers and sales teams to understand product needs and unmet demand.
- Analyze sales, customer behavior, and market data to identify SKU gaps and white space.
- Research competitor assortments and industry trends to surface new product opportunities.
- Build clear, data‑supported recommendations for new items and categories.
- Use ERP, BI dashboards, Excel, and AI tools to generate insights and automate research.
- Support product lifecycle activities: launches, repositioning, and phase‑outs.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, finance, and marketing to execute new opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, merchandising, analytics, or related field.
- 1 years in merchandising, category management, product analysis, or business analytics.
- Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel; comfort with ERP/BI systems.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with AI tools.
- Curious, opportunity‑focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience identifying or launching new SKUs.
- SQL, automation tools, or BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience in dental, medical, or healthcare distribution.
