What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Hire Point Recruiting?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support month-end close and day-to-day accounting activities
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, financial schedules, and reporting
- Analyze financial results, variances, and trends and communicate key findings to management
- Assist with financial reporting and related compliance requirements
- Support audits, internal controls, and other reporting initiatives
- Assist with multi-entity accounting and consolidations as needed
- Review work and provide guidance to more junior team members
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives
- Help implement and optimize accounting systems and technology
- Take on special projects and other responsibilities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred or CPA-eligible
- 3–5 years of accounting and/or audit experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to support month-end close and other time-sensitive deadlines
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
