What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Accounting position at Hire Point Recruiting?
We’re looking for an Associate Manager of Accounting to support SEC reporting and SOX compliance within a fast-paced, public company environment. This role will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, playing a key part in 10-K/10-Q filings, internal controls, and overall financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Support preparation and review of SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
- Assist with drafting financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures
- Coordinate with external auditors on quarterly and annual filings
- Maintain and enhance SOX controls, including documentation, testing, and remediation
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
- Support technical accounting research and implementation of new standards
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations as needed
- Drive process improvements across reporting and controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA required or in progress
- 4–7 years of experience in public accounting and/or public company environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance
- Experience with financial reporting tools (Workiva, etc.) a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
