HiPo Talent Partners is partnering with a growing food manufacturer in the northern suburbs of Chicago to identify a Finance & People Data Coordinator. This role combines accounting support with HR data management and business reporting. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, improving processes, and ensuring data is accurate, organized, and actionable.
Reporting to the C-Suite, you'll work closely with Finance, HR, Operations, and Production to support day-to-day accounting activities while helping leadership make informed business decisions through reliable reporting and analysis.
What You'll Do
Accounting & Financial Support
- Process customer invoices, payments, and accounts receivable activity
- Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and accounts payable
- Assist with reconciliations, month-end close, and general ledger support
- Research discrepancies and resolve issues with vendors, customers, and internal teams
HR Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records, organizational data, and headcount reporting
- Support payroll and labor reporting by ensuring employee and department information remains current
- Protect confidential employee information and maintain organized records
Reporting & Business Analytics
- Prepare recurring reports and dashboards supporting Finance, HR, Operations, and Leadership
- Analyze payroll, labor, and operational data for accuracy and trends
- Use Excel and business systems to identify issues, reconcile data, and recommend improvements
- Help streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate across Finance, HR, Production, and Operations to solve problems and improve processes
- Take ownership of recurring responsibilities while supporting special projects as the business continues to grow
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, payroll, HR administration, or business operations
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence learning ERP, HRIS, payroll, and accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for data accuracy
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing business
- Self-starter who enjoys improving processes and taking ownership
