Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using proper food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to sanitation standards and handling food-related items with care
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service to promote a clean environment
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and bulk supplies safely following proper procedures
- Support catering and banquet setups by providing clean dishes and assisting with food service logistics
Requirements
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
