GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

The Receptionist will assist on a part-time basis in the Enrollment Center, supporting overall Enrollment Center Operations, warmly greeting all visitors, directing traffic, providing light data entry, and providing outstanding and unwavering customer service to all students and visitors.

Education And/Or Experience

  • Must be willing to work 19.5 hours per week with an approximate schedule of Monday - Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 11 am. Slight variations from this time frame are permissible.
  • Experience in the following areas is strongly preferred but not required: One or more years in customer service, higher education, or student services, and one or more years of data entry experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Part-Time Receptionist serves as the first point of contact at the front desk of the Enrollment Center for students, families, and community members visiting the Raymond Campus Enrollment Center. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming, student-centered environment by greeting guests, directing traffic, and supporting smooth daily operations. The receptionist provides general information, assists with check-in procedures, and ensures visitors are routed efficiently to Enrollment Specialists, Advising, Testing, Financial Aid, and other services.

  • At the front desk of the Enrollment Center, warmly greet all visitors and provide outstanding and unwavering customer service at all times.
  • Direct foot traffic and guide students to the appropriate Enrollment Center service areas.
  • Assist students with digital check-in using Qtrac.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk space.
  • Monitor waiting areas to ensure students are seated, informed, and assisted in order of arrival.
  • Maintain knowledge of the campus and services and direct traffic to the correct buildings and offices throughout campus.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and follow all FERPA guidelines.
  • Monitor several daily reports and perform light data entry.
  • Perform other clerical or support duties as assigned.
