Position: Veterinary Receptionist
Location: Ridgetowne Animal Clinic, Ridgeland, MS 39157
Schedule: Full-Time; 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday with rotating Saturday shifts (8 am – noon)
Responsibilities:
- Warm Client Interaction: Greet clients warmly, creating a positive first impression for our clinic.
- Efficient Check-ins: Check clients in and out with accuracy, ensuring records are up-to-date.
- Phone Handling: Answer phones professionally, addressing client inquiries with empathy and efficiency.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointment schedules to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Sales Processing: Handle over-the-counter sales and payments accurately.
- Collaborative Communication: Work effectively with other staff members to ensure seamless clinic operations.
- Multi-tasking: Thrive in a busy clinic environment, handling various tasks with attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous receptionist experience is preferred; veterinary reception experience is a plus.
- Compassionate Approach: Show empathy and compassion towards clients and their pets.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to multitask and handle pressure, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Experience:
- Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
- Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)

Clinic Hours & Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 7:20 am – 5:30 pm
- Saturday: 8 am – 12 pm (Rotating schedule)
- Full-time position
- Employee would have either a half-day or full-day off during the week, depending on the Saturday shift rotation.
- An hour-and-a-half lunch break
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Work Setting: In-person
Ability to Commute/Relocate: Ridgeland, MS 39157: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Previous reception and/or veterinary experience preferred but not required. Pay is based off experience.
