Job Summary
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall guest satisfaction of guest suites and public areas at Homewood Suites by Hilton. This role ensures all rooms meet brand standards for extended-stay comfort, cleanliness, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest suites, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and toiletries
- Clean kitchens (countertops, sinks, appliances, dishes as needed)
- Vacuum carpets, sweep/mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Restock housekeeping carts with supplies and amenities
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items
- Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways, elevators, and lobby spaces
- Follow all brand standards, safety guidelines, and cleaning procedures
- Provide friendly and professional interaction with guests when needed
Work Environment
- Fast-paced hotel setting with daily room quotas
- May include weekends, holidays, and flexible scheduling
- Interaction with guests and team members throughout the shift
Performance Expectations
- Meet or exceed daily room cleaning quotas
- Maintain brand cleanliness and inspection scores
- Deliver consistent guest satisfaction and positive feedback
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Handling cleaning equipment and chemicals
Work Experience
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety practices
