Job Description
The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food for banquet events, ensuring consistency, timeliness, and adherence to food safety standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Key responsibioities include:
- Prepare and cook food items according to banquet event orders and standardized recipes.
- Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of banquet food stations and buffets.
- Ensure all food is cooked and presented on time and to the company’s standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and storage.
- Monitor food stock and report any shortages or needs to the chef or supervisor.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and banquet team to ensure successful event execution.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food items as needed.
- Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the brand with pride.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1–2 years of culinary experience in a banquet, catering, or high-volume kitchen setting.
- ServSafe Certification or Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred or required per local law).
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and directions precisely.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by event schedule
