What We Offer:
To escort arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their accommodations, transporting their luggage and parking guest vehicles as requested. Inform each guest about the room and features of the property.
Essential Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, at the discretion of the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.

Qualifications:
Education:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. High school diploma preferred.
Experience:
No prior experience required. Prior guest service or other hospitality experience preferred.
Licenses and Certificates:
Valid/current Florida driver's license and a proven safe and clean driving record is essential.

To escort arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their accommodations, transporting their luggage and parking guest vehicles as requested. Inform each guest about the room and features of the property.
Essential Functions:
- Retrieves guest items from cars, buses, vans and carts. Grasps, lifts, carries and/or loads luggage and packages weighing up to 125 lbs. onto a bell cart to transport items throughout hotel to designated room. Navigates bell cart through public areas, guest room corridors, and to elevators.
- Directs traffic in the parking area as needed and assists the guest in entering and leaving the front driveway. Always collects and accurately labels keys belonging to the guest.
- Park and retrieves retrieving guest vehicles within the driveway and valet lot. Operates guest vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Escorts guests to accommodations, visually inspects room, and telephones any deficiencies such as towels to housekeeping immediately. Points out room features and directory for reference.
- Listens and responds to guest inquiries in a positive and polite manner. Answers questions and offers assistance, giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, other hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
- Organizes and stores luggage as necessary in a designated area.
- Reads and matches luggage tags, writes claim tickets and detaches portion to give to guest.
- Greets guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Remains calm and attentive, especially during heavy hotel activity and emergencies.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, at the discretion of the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.
- Picks up and delivers guest laundry to and from guest rooms in a timely, accurate manner.
- Zips out Checkout packets, mail, packages, faxes, etc. to specific guest rooms.
- Cleans carts and other equipment used in the department.
- Answers the Bell desk phone and provide information as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

- Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
- Ability to read English language sufficient to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks and to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage up to 125 lbs. continuously throughout shift.
- Possess the physical stamina required to stand, lift, carry and walk continuously for the duration of shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, run and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
