Hilton Pearl River, a full-service luxury hotel located 20 minutes from New York City in Rockland County (NY) and bordering Bergen County (NJ), is seeking a Steward to join our exceptional team who can work all shifts required.

Hilton Pearl River remains an innovative forward-thinking hospitality leader by offering best-in-class products, services, and amenities to ensure that every guest feels cared for, valued and respected. As a Steward you will clean dishes, utensils and all ware for hotel, transport and clean cooking utensils and serviceware in order to provide cooks, buspersons and food servers with appropriate equipment for guests’ dining experience. Also requires cleaning of physical surroundings. We are currently hiring for full time for our day shift.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

• Washes dishes and other cooking utensils. Restocks all clean glasses, silverware and plates
• Performs general cleaning in order to stay in compliance with Health Department
• Burnish, detarnish, polish silver for proper appearance
• Removes trash from all containers in the F&B areas, taking it to the dumpster located on the loading dock
• Stewards restock all dishes and utensils as they are cleaned
• Puts away food stock and dry goods in their proper location
• Must be able to work a flexible shift in the evening and during weekends and holidays

Education:

• High School graduate or equivalent required

Experience:

• Experience in hospitality or residential living industry preferred
• Required to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Shift is from 7AM to 3:30PM. Must be flexible in the shift time as business dictates.
