In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of public areas, ensuring that spaces are inviting and well-kept. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of public spaces, including floors, lobbies, restrooms, and communal areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols to prevent accidents.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance purposes.
• Maintain sanitation standards by vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and ensuring all surfaces are spotless and hygienic.
• Use industrial cleaning tools and janitorial equipment efficiently to ensure thorough cleaning of all designated areas.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures during routine inspections and emergency situations to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries politely and promptly while maintaining a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Prior experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping management, or industrial cleaning is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning, stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks; familiarity with SDS is preferred.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly throughout shifts.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards in public spaces.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor; previous hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during all operations.

Pay: $14.75 - $14.76 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
