Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and building infrastructure using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues with precision, utilizing skills in programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical experience to identify root causes swiftly.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrication tasks to restore or improve equipment functionality.
- Lead facilities maintenance projects including residential painting, equipment upgrades, and system replacements while supervising team members or contractors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, parts inventory, and service history.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with high-voltage systems or hazardous materials to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with internal teams or external clients regarding maintenance schedules or issue resolutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential settings with a strong mechanical background.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to electrical wiring, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, electrical troubleshooting, and use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of CMMS platforms for managing maintenance workflows efficiently.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience overseeing maintenance teams or projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks clearly across teams and document work accurately.
