Maintenance / Shuttle Driver Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Technician / Shuttle Driver
Department: Maintenance / Guest Services
Reports To: General Manager / Assistant General Manager
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician / Shuttle Driver is responsible for maintaining the hotel property, guest rooms, public areas, and equipment, while also providing safe and professional transportation for hotel guests to and from the airport and local destinations. This position requires basic maintenance skills, good customer service, and a strong focus on safety.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Repair plumbing issues such as toilets, sinks, and faucets
- Perform basic electrical work such as replacing light fixtures, outlets, and breakers
- Repair and maintain HVAC and PTAC units
- Perform painting, drywall repair, and minor carpentry work
- Complete preventative maintenance on guest rooms and equipment
- Maintain hotel exterior, parking lot, and landscaping areas
- Replace air filters and check equipment regularly
- Assist with room renovations and deep cleaning projects
- Maintain pool and spa (if applicable)
- Keep maintenance areas and storage rooms clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Be available for emergency maintenance when needed
Shuttle Driver Responsibilities
- Safely transport guests to and from airport, businesses, restaurants, and other approved locations
- Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain shuttle schedule and communicate with front desk staff
- Keep shuttle vehicle clean inside and outside
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tires, lights, cleanliness)
- Report vehicle maintenance issues immediately
- Maintain shuttle logs and trip records
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Assist front desk and hotel staff when not driving shuttle
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance
- Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be reliable and able to work independently

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
