Duties
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning routines across all hotel areas, including guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, and public spaces.
- Develop daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to meet operational standards and guest satisfaction goals.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards.
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational readiness.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with front desk staff and maintenance teams to address guest requests promptly and resolve any issues related to cleanliness or facility conditions.
- Document incidents or maintenance needs discovered during inspections; follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, janitorial practices, and industrial cleaning methods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Familiarity with hospitality standards, guest service principles, and custodial procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies, standing for extended periods, and moving throughout the property efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail for quality assurance.
- Effective communication skills for training staff and coordinating with other departments.
