Customer Solutions Specialist

Job Summary

The Customer Solutions Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth through direct, face-to-face customer engagement while providing excellent ongoing customer service. This role combines outside sales activities with strong customer support to build long-term relationships, retain accounts, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Outside Sales Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular outside sales visits with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and follow up on leads.
  • Prepare quotes and assist with closing new accounts.
  • Promote company products, services, and programs based on customer needs.
  • Represent the company professionally during customer visits and community or industry events.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and service needs.
  • Ensure order accuracy, timely follow-up, and clear communication with customers.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support retention and satisfaction.

Account & Sales Support:

  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity notes in company systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and service delivery.
  • Support sales promotions, product education, and special initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in outside sales, account management, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field.
  • Comfortable using email, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for customer visits.

Work Environment & Expectations:

This role involves a combination of field-based customer visits and office or facility-based customer service tasks. The position requires self-motivation, organization, accountability, and regular travel within assigned territories.
