RN/LPN Charge Nurse – Baylor (12-Hour Shifts: 6A–6P)

What You’ll Do as a Charge Nurse:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on patients
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Provide specialized care, including PICC line and trach care
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Observe and document changes in patient condition, mood, and behavior
- Communicate health updates and concerns to the RN Unit Manager or attending physician
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide education about their care plans
- Administer immunizations
- Supervise and mentor CNAs or NAs to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications:
- Active RN or LPN license
- Proficiency in medication administration
- Strong patient observation and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with catheterization and tube feeding
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of physiology and patient care principles
- Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
