Job Description
Quality Assurance-focused role in a chemical manufacturing facility (Clear Lake).
Although labeled under EHSQ, the role is heavily QA-focused, with minimal EHS responsibility. Primary Focus:
Quality Assurance (QA) processes, not EHS Compliance and implementation of ISO 9001 / ISO 9000 standards Managing and owning the Quality Management System (QMS)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead QA audits and ensure compliance with ISO standards Define and track QA KPIs Manage QMS implementation & adherence
Handle: Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) Non-conformances & investigations
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Facilitate and lead audits build internal auditing capability (train others)
Top 3 Must-Have Criteria:
Chemical Manufacturing Background
End-to-End Ownership of QA Processes Not just participation — must have managed QMS / QA programs
Auditing Experience Ideally ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification
Education Requirements:
Preferred: Degree in Chemistry or related field Flexibility:
Possible without degree only if strong QA leadership experience in chemical manufacturing
Ideal Candidate Profile: Has implemented and sustained QMS systems (especially from scratch = strong plus)
Deep understanding of ISO standards application in chemical industry Ability to influence cross-functional teams (plant leadership, operations)
Hands-on in manufacturing environment (not theoretical QA)
Team & Interaction: High interaction with plant leadership & cross-functional teams (daily basis) Limited external/customer interaction Role requires strong stakeholder management & influence skills
Salary : $50 - $52
