We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using airless paint spraying and other painting techniques
- Perform buffing, polishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish
- Repair or replace damaged panels, including auto glass and body parts as needed
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during repair and painting processes
- Conduct vehicle inspections post-painting to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist with auto restoration projects and vehicle maintenance tasks as required
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and customer expectations
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair and painting preferred
- Proficiency with auto painting techniques including airless spray systems and buffing methods
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes
- Experience with welding, auto glass replacement, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during parts replacement or repairs
- Strong understanding of auto estimating procedures is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills for engaging with clients professionally
- Knowledge of vehicle detailing, auto body repair, and auto restoration processes
- Mechanic experience is advantageous for troubleshooting and repairs
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
