Woodlands Senior Living has volunteer opportunities for those seeking to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors in their area.

Hillside Terrace is a 21-bed assisted living community located in a historic mansion in Hallowell. The environment is closer to a high-end bed-and-breakfast than a typical assisted living community. We are part of Woodlands Senior Living, a Maine-based company known for excellence in senior care since the 1990s. Our mission is to make each day the best day possible for every resident we serve, while helping to bring peace of mind to the people who love them.

What Senior Living volunteers do:

· Visit and talk with residents

· Assist during activities such as arts & crafts and games

· Deliver mail and write letters for residents

· Accompany residents on outings or walks around the premises

· Deliver meals or snacks

· Greet community visitors

Requirements

Volunteer applicants will be screened via background & reference checks and will be required to comply with immunization requirements. Volunteers will participate in an orientation program and in-service training.
