Position Summary

Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem Opportunities Available! 

As a member of our resident care team, you will play an important role in helping our residents live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. You will provide compassionate assistance with daily activities, personal care, and other services based on each resident’s individual needs, assessment, and service plan.

You will work as part of a supportive team and follow applicable federal and state regulations, company policies and procedures, and established standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including transferring, mobility, bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, and eating.
• Assist residents with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), including appointments, telephone      use, transportation, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and service, and shopping.
• Provide medication administration services as permitted by your training, certification, and applicable regulations.
• Provide resident care in a manner that promotes safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Observe residents for changes in physical condition, behavior, or overall well-being and promptly report and document concerns in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs as assigned.
• Follow each resident’s individualized assessment and service plan.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality and protect resident information in accordance with company policies and applicable privacy requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the resident care team to provide consistent, high-quality care.
• Perform other duties within the scope of your training and responsibilities as needed to support our residents and team.

Resident Information & Confidentiality

Team members may access resident records and protected health information (PHI) only as necessary to perform their job responsibilities and support quality of care, compliance, and regulatory requirements. All resident information must be handled with appropriate confidentiality and in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position involves regular interaction with residents, families, team members, healthcare professionals, and regulatory personnel in a senior living environment.

The position may require:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting residents with mobility and daily activities.
• Working on carpeted and concrete surfaces throughout the community.
• Working varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, extended hours, or in other roles when business or resident needs require.
• Responding to emergency situations, including severe weather, evacuations, and other unforeseen circumstances.
• Exposure to common healthcare and senior living workplace conditions, including cleaning products, disinfectants, odors, dust, and other environmental factors.
• Following established infection prevention and safety practices when working with residents who may have infectious illnesses or other health conditions.

Requirements

• Possesses active and in good standing Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification from the State of Maine CNA Registry. 
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• A current, valid license to operate a vehicle in the state of Maine and a driving record that is satisfactory to the company may be required.
• Must complete a criminal history record check to the satisfaction of the company.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
