What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charge Nurse (LVN or RN) - 12 Hour Shifts position at Hillside Medical Lodge?
Our floor moves between long-term care routines and short-term rehabilitation handoffs. Charge nurses manage medication passes and chart resident status updates while directing floor CNAs. Support from facility leadership is available directly on floor corridors.
Compensation, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay Rate: Starting at $30/hr for LVNs and $35/hr for RNs, scaling upward with experience
- Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts (6am-6pm Day Shift or 6pm-6am Night Shift) with rotating weekends

Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and clinical treatments according to physician orders.
- Complete clinical assessments and document shift notes in PointClickCare.
- Coordinate directly with floor nursing assistants on resident care plans.
- Conduct shift handoffs and report status updates to attending physicians.
- Assist with resident admissions and discharge summaries.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Texas LVN or RN license in good standing
- Must pass a standard criminal background check
- Must pass a drug screening
- Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
