Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-time Humanities Teacher to join our educational team. Duties
- Develop and implement assigned curriculum aligned with educational standards and learning objectives
- Design and deliver dynamic lessons incorporating various teaching methods and learning technologies
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and standardized testing, providing constructive feedback
- Mentor students to enhance their critical thinking, writing, and research skills
- Utilize classroom management techniques to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Proofread and edit student work to promote clarity and academic excellence
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school initiatives
- Maintain organized records of student performance and attendance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Education, or related field; higher education teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design
- Experience working with students across diverse learning needs including special education or literacy education
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and library services for educational purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor and motivate students effectively
- Proven classroom management skills with experience in private school settings or similar environments
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple classes and instructional responsibilities
- Experience with behavior management strategies to support a positive classroom climate
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
