Officer, Executive, Professional Standards
SUMMARY:
The Officer, Executive, Professional Standards, will implement, maintain, and manage employee disciplinary procedures. The Officer, Executive, Professional Standards, will oversee investigations of employee misconduct.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives, analyzes, and manages the handling of complaints against board employees.
- Determines appropriate emergency personnel action when informed of incidents involving employee misconduct.
- Conducts disciplinary hearings and takes appropriate personnel actions.
- Presents the documentation in cases of employee suspension or discharge and/or in appeals of such actions.
- Guides administrators in the performance of their duties relating to managing personnel incidents and performance.
- Communicates with area superintendents regarding issues affecting personnel at schools under their direction.
- Informs the Senior Executive Officer of potential problems or unusual events and responds to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintains expertise in assigned areas to fulfill project goals and expectations.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.
Education: A master’s degree is required. Degree or formal training in Educational Leadership or Administration/Supervision preferred.
Experience: Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience in human resources or administration of educational programs, with three (3) years of related management or supervisory experience required. Experience in public school administration, public school district administration, or other large diverse organizations preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate is required. Educational Leadership, School Principal, or Administration and Supervision preferred.
